May 3

Dear Parents/Guardians:
Thank you to everyone who supported the fundraiser for the American Cancer Society today. It was wonderful to see the sea of purple in our school today! Through your generosity, we raised over $2,100.00.
If you haven’t voted yet, please take a moment and cast your ballot in the 2017 OLPS School Council Election: Voting will end tonight at midnight.
Tomorrow is the last day of the Scholastic Book Fair in the library. Some of the books in our Summer Bridge books may be available at the book fair. For your information, the required books by grade level for this upcoming summer are:
  • Incoming 3rd graders: Freckle Juice by Judy Blume
  • Incoming 4th graders: Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume
  • Incoming 5th graders: The Cricket in Times Square by George Seldon
  • Incoming 6th graders: Wonder by R. J. Palacio
OLPS will be participating in the Children’s Miracle Network during the week of May 8-12. Students will receive a glow-in-the-dark wristband for every $1.00 they raise.
