August 16

Dear Parents/Guardians:
We are off to a great start - lots of happy students and even happier teachers!
We are excited about the solar eclipse which will take place on Monday, August 21. All students in grades 1-6 who have a WRITTEN permission slip signed by a parent will be allowed to go out and experience the eclipse firsthand. Students without a signed permission slip will watch a live stream of the eclipse in one of the classrooms. Hard copies of the permission slips are coming home today with the students in grades 1-6. An electronic copy of the permission slip is also attached to this email.
Your children will also bring home applications for free and/or reduced lunches, as well as instructions for paying the lunches. Diocesan policy requires every family to complete and return the applications to school, even if you are not eligible or interested in applying. The information is used to determine our eligibility for federal programs and/or other grants. Thank you for helping us be in compliance.
Please be patient with our car pool lines. Familiarize yourself with the drop-off and pick-up locations and times (see attached.) When everyone adheres to the guidelines, things run much more smoothly. Our number one priority is your children’s safety!
The last day to sign up on-line for the Bulldog Kids Tri is Thursday, August 24. (see attachment for details)
The first issue of this school year’s Partners in Faith is attached. As usual, it contains some great little articles to share with your children.
Access to RenWeb’s ParentsWeb has been enabled. Please check the attachments for log-on instructions.
We are offering Bricks4Kidz again this year. Please see the attachment for details.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children’s formation and education.
Mrs. Jo
